hey guys. it feels like it has been years since i have seen any of you. darn it, its been pretty close to it. i have bad news in relativity to that. uhh yea. so this semester ends on may 3, and may 6 i leave for russia. i get back from russia on may 27 and leave for summer camp on may 28. get back form summer camp, and then im going to texas for labor day to visit a friend, and then the semester starts on september 4. i hope my parents will let me have a little family/ friends gathering on may 5 or 6 so that i can see you guys before thanksgiving. when do you all get out of school? please let me know, i miss you guys and want to see you before i leave. i love you all and miss you very much. i hope that ill get to see you before then! have an ansolutely fantabulous day!

hey guys. yes it is true, i am still alive. and yes it is true, i gave up aol instant messenger for lent. no i have not fallen off the face of the planet and no the bubble that i live in has not swallowed me whole. :) things are good here on this side of the state, i am having a blast. yesterday i skipped my classes to go to a park and play ultimate frisbee, i was wearing a tshirt jeans and sandals. now i am wearing a winter jacket and am forced to get personal with the impending snow. lets see, what have i been up to? homework, tons of it. im still the biggest procrastinator that there is, but i gotta few classes that are really kicking my butt. however, nothing that a true procrastinator like myself cannot handle. :) i am going to florida for a mission trip over spring break (which starts on saturday) and ill be home march 15-17 to celebrate my birthday with the family. maybe we could do soemthing that friday night for those who will be at home then? im still going to russia this may, and i still remain single. hmm. not much else really. now that i have a room to myself i try to stay out of it so that im not alone and like to busy myself with pretty much anything. the semesters going by really quickly, and summer will be here soon, and then ill get to see you guys! alright i should really go, i am procrastinating 3 midterms and a paper. just wanted to write to let you know that Shelley Steffen still does exist and loves you guys very very much. till next time, adios!

hey hey everyone, in still alive and well with the exception of my mono. which really sucks b/c it just gets worse as the days go on..... im dealing with it though, its not really restricting me from too many things and of course im still having fun! hummm... not really too too much has happened lately really. just been hanging out with everyone here and there, went to a retreat over the weekend, it was a blast went on this awesome zipcord that was 40 ft in the air and went over a lake, i went hanging completely upside down, it was awsome, i also climbed a 30 ft vertical wall..... the boys are doing good, ive found someone else to put my focus on for a while :) hopefully he likes me too! ;) gotta go t class now, just wanted you all to know that im still alive and well here form ann arbor! lov you guys1

so yesterday, my family came to visit me. we went to meijers and they bought me $150 worth of food and a $25 gift certificate to meijer as well. i now have so much good food. i am very well pleased. then when we got back to the dorm, my freind laura and her parents pulled up (her dad is also my pastor) and so i got to see them and hang out with laura for the day too. it was pretty cool. i got to sleep for 12 hours last night, it was fun.........
gotta go i think i might work on some homework or something

hello again. things are still gong pretty good, today i went to classes, my roomate left for home, so i spent the day/night with jimmy and mike. we fell asleep watching monty pyhton, i walked here, and becasue of the freezing cold, im now wide awake. not to mention the fact that i just figured out that im in my dorm room all by myself. hmph i dont like being by myself. oh well. tomorrow im going with jimmy to mike's aunt's house for a BBQ or something.... hopefully itll be fun, free good food and itll keep me busy. sunday my parents are coming to visit and who knows what im doing on monday.......
i still like it here, some of my pofs are crazy, but this reminds me of high school totally. i had a job interview today...ill find out if i got it on tuesday. i really hope so.

uh huh yup this is much fun more new classes today, they were kinds boring, but much to be expected. the profs are like H.S. teachers, and so the work wont be too hard hopefully....

i reallllyyy like it here a lot, but i miss you guys too.. i finally decorated my walls today, its starting to look like a place that i can call home. i have all of your senior pictures on the wall as well. it is a fun wall, you guys would like it. i have pictures everywhere else as well.

i gotta go eat dinner now.... yum yum cafeteria food. it feels like im swallowing rocks, and then they just sit in my stomach, oh i cant wait for my moms spaghetti

lol anyways..... classes start tomorrow...im having much fun....many new friends, the majority of which are male lol.... it is fun...im excited to start classes, and to meet more new people.....i love doing that....the poeple here are so nice and really cool...last night we had dorm follies (simliar to pep rally, except it was between the dorms instead of between the classes) after that we had all campus devotions around a ten foot bonfire... then there was an all campus water fight....i got VERY wet...my clothes are still sosked...i considered throwing them into the dryer, but then i figured out that i would have to pay $0.75 for it...so now they are hang drying in my bathroom... today we went on a servant event...i helped some old people put up an electronic fence so that their horse wouldnt run away, i had the chance to ride it bareback, but i was too nervous....then we came back and i hung out here and at mikes dorm for the rest of the night, we also went to an improv comedy thing, so hilarious, my stomach still hurts form laughing so hard....kinda like who's line is it anyway, but without drew carey, and such.....now im back at my dorm, and im going to get my books ready for tomorrow, i dont even knwo which books are for which class....hmm.... that could be a problem.... alright....i wrote more....i gotta go now, i need to get some sleep, 9am class tomorrow.....wow thats gonna be hard to get up....oh well.... i love this no curfew thing, yesterday i didnt get back until 330....it was fun...okedokee. im goin now....have fun all!

uhuh...so yeah...i leave for school in oh, 8 days...my life, consists of boxes...its amusing, how many boxes hold one person's life...i packed everything that i want to take with the exception of a few necessities. every day until i leave is filled with one last goodbye to different people....

amusing thought....next friday, the day before i leave for school is also the one year anniversary of my grandmother's death... it's almost like im living her life again, i graduated on the same day that she did, 50 some odd years later...it was also her birthday on that day as well...now im leaving for school the day after she left...my grandpa gave me her ring to wear.... its not something that i would chose from a store, but i like it very much...i remember her wearing it...i miss her so much...

leaving for school is an interesting thought...
i want to get out of here so bad, to start over, but i dont wannna leave everyone here, my family, my friends, my car, my church, my room, hmph.... i dont even know what to think...im so excited to go that i cant event think straight when the topic comes up, but when im alone, it takes all i have to keep my composure...

i dont want to leave things as they are....i dont want to fix them, i want to say goodbye and hang out with everyone, and yet i just want to leave right now, this very moment, just up and go, without any last thought about anything.....

does anyone understand...or am i absolutely nuts?

alright the only reason why im updating is so that every one will read this...
to all who are planning to attend my graduation fiesta on saturday, please make sure to bring your bathing suits, towel, and empty stomachs...its supposed to be reallly hot on saturday and i dont have air conditioning, trust me, you are going to want your bathing suits, otherwise, maybe ill just have to throw you in...either way works for me....anyways, i hope to see all of you there!
